Urgent Update for Chromebook Purchases of 300e Touchscreen Model

We recently received notification that the School District’s shipment of the Lenovo 300e Touchscreen Chromebooks has been significantly delayed. This is the model that you ordered for your student through the district. This delay is a result of the manufacturer, Lenovo, not properly projecting the demand for this model. We have worked diligently with our vendors to resolve this issue.  We are anticipating that the devices will not arrive before school begins but will arrive in mid to late September.

In order to temporarily rectify the situation, a district loaner Chromebook device will be assigned to your student to use for their school work if you do not already have a working chromebook device. Once the Lenovo 300e devices have been received, we will communicate more details regarding the distribution. We apologize for this inconvenience as we understand that many parents have already submitted payment for the device. If you decide that you do not want to wait for the arrival of the device you ordered and choose to purchase a device elsewhere, we will cancel your order. However, we urge parents to wait for the arrival of the devices so that you can still be eligible for the accidental breakage and theft insurance available with the purchase of the device through the district.

Sincerely,

Terry Bullard
