2018-2019 Chromebook Payment/Distribution Info

Chromebook devices have been ordered and are expected to arrive late July. Upon arrival, we will inventory, assign and configure the devices and enroll them into our Chromebook Management System. That way, your student’s device will be ready to go for the start of school. Devices will be available for pickup on August 13th-14th from 8:00am-4:00pm in the Bedford High School Media Center. If you are unable to pick up the device at that time, there will be alternate days posted at a later time. Payment must be made in full prior to the pickup of the Chromebook device. Families that selected the lease to own option need to make the first annual payment prior to the pickup. We encourage families to pay in advance to expedite the pickup process.
 
Payment options:

Check
All checks should be made out to the Bedford School District. Please include your student’s name and ID number on the check.

The cost for the 4 purchase options are:
  • Lenovo 100e Purchase - $196 (Device cost of $177 + optional accidental breakage/theft insurance of $19)
  • Lenovo 100e Lease To Own - $84 year one payment (insurance included)
  • Lenovo 300e Purchase - $266 (Device cost of $241 + optional accidental breakage/theft insurance of $25)
  • Lenovo 300e Lease to Own - $110 year one payment (insurance included)
Please note that a signed lease agreement for the Lease to Own option is required at time of pickup of the device. The Lease documents for each model can be found under the Parent Resources of the 1-to-1 Chromebook website.

You can write one check for the cost of the device and insurance. One check for multiple student purchases is also acceptable.

Credit Card
The District uses the “Send Money To School” (http://www.sendmoneytoschool.com) service for credit card purchases. This is the same service that is used to deposit money into your student’s lunch account. To pay via credit card, log into your sendmoneytoschool.com account, click on the School Store and then click on the Chromebook Store to select your purchase option. Click here for the instructions on how to pay for the Chromebook via credit card. There is a $2.00 transaction fee to pay by credit card. Credit card payments must be made prior to pickup of the device.


Cash
Cash will be accepted on the day of pickup of the Chromebook.
